So, after days of my son hobbling around, I decided to take him to the ER and have an x-ray, ya' know, just for "rule out" measures. Wellllllllllll.......he broke his heel. That's right folks, his actual bottom(sole) of his heel...who knew?! So, 1 official game into his 3rd season playing fb, and he's out (and pretty bummed too!). Here are our game highlights this week. I was (and still am) in shock and disbelief...I have never broken a bone in my body, so it's all new to me! I just happen to work on the ortho unit at my hospital, so I am familiar w/ the ropes as far as managing this issue. We visit an ortho specialist doc this week, so more to come soon...~e
