Well~yes, I have been a little MIA, but in my defense-we've had a busy last few days! Let me recap: Thursday A.M. the kiddies both had dentist appts., another words, I will be buying something very nice for someone(maybe the kids of the dentist, his wife..?..) after I am done paying for everything!'C' had sealants on all his teeth, b/c all of his teeth are now permanent. Also, he had his 'partial' replaced. Let me explain the history of his '2 front teeth'...when he was 4, he had his 2 front teeth knocked "up & forward" not out. So, I took him in and they were taken out that very day. He was 4. He had no '2 front teeth' for a little over 2 years, due to them coming out prematurely. People warned me that he would have terrible speech issues once the adult teeth came in, this has never happened. Fast forward a few years later. The summer between his, oh maybe 2nd-3rd grade year, he was at the Y summer program that he attended that year while I was at work, his adult teeth were in by now, and looked great(and talked great too). I got a call at me desk 1 afternoon, that 'C' had been in a pool-ball accident and needed medical, er dental attention STAT!So, I rushed there(in @ 3min record time). Took him to the dentist, and we talked about our options...his 2 new finally in front teeth had not come out, but broken. The L broke straight across, as if you cut the bottom portion completely off. The R had broken similar, only more at an angle. So, therefore, the partial piece came to be. We now have this replaced about every 1 1/2 yrs or as needed(like when he bit into a popcorn kernel). It gets discolored easily, so this causes need for replacement as well...no corn on the cob(must shave the corn off the cob, no apples, carrots, pears, you get the idea...). So, that was kid #1. Kid #2 has awful teeth. Poor baby has at least 2+cavities every time we visit--well, maybe not every 6 month cleaning, but at least once a year!!'K' had to have 2 baby back teeth pulled. 1 of them had a previous filling that had fallen out, therefore she had a HOLE in her tooth for a bit(I never even knew about this...she said she told me, and I ignored her!). Sooooooo......we had those 2 teeth pulled, and that was not exactly minor.Very painful, and ALOT of bleeding...as well as soft food for 24 hrs.We go back in 3 weeks to have the spacers put in where the teeth once were...this way her teeth don't push forward and jack her grill up! But, I am happy to report--she had NO CAVITIES!!! :) So, when I say that I am buying the dentist a new boat, or jet skis, this is why!!!!
So people, that was just my Thursday. Friday was busy, but normal. Kids had family fun night at their school. So, I volunteered to work the early shift, this way A.)I could leave work a little early:) and B.)I was not working the last shift, which always turns into clean up crew as well. It was good--very hot!
Saturday: We started off by attending me good friend 'N's oldest kiddies flag fb game! He was so cute! He also has an little sis who is ADORABLE!!! I could just scoop her up and eat her little cheeks off-if she would just let me get close enough. She was interested in us-but from a distance...she will warm up...give her time. Aunt E will buy her little heart if I have to;)! After the game, we rushed to my parent's. Dropped off 'C' and 'K' and I changed real quick and we headed to my friend 'L's to her jewelry party she hosted. I had never been to a lia sophia party before. It was good, of course we saw many items that we need, but due to my current financial status(lack of) I was a good girl and only purchased 1 item a piece for myself and 'K'...I could always reach L's friend if needed ;).So, last time L was on my blog she was pregnant, and ready to POP!!! Well, I am posting a lil' pic of the little guy that finally POPPED OUT! He is PRECIOUS!!! He really does look like a little boy! Such a sweetie! So, in the afternoon we were just home, and it was great! In the eve we went and picked up K's friend MK to stay the P.M. w/ us...she and K are great friends, and I've know both her parents FOREVER! Seriously, her dad was in my kindergarten class, and I was in their wedding...so she calls me Aunt E, and K calls her mom Aunt K...etc...Sooooo......we are not going to church this A.M. This makes me feel bad...I want to go, but at the same time, I knew if I went this A.M. I would never get the laundry done, sweeping/mopping done..you get the picture. C has a party this afternoon that we will drop him off to. Luckily it is just a few miles away, and I'll pick him up when it's over. His friend called him just a bit ago, and asked if we could swing buy and give him a ride to the party, so we will do that also....dang I'm busy!Busy doing a lot of little things---added up to become BIG!A few pics from the weekend(sorry about this SUPER LONG POST!!)~e
