Taking a blog/post break...
I know, I know you are all reading the title and holding back the tears...do try and compose yourselves..;) I have a huge test (my boards) coming up in the near future, so I have decided that my time spent posting would be better spent studying(imagine)! I will try and read my daily readings every few days...you know, I gotta get my fix. But I hope & pray (real hard prayers) that my next post will be early August (it's just a few weeks away ya' know)and it will be a post of praise & happiness! :) In the meantime, please keep me on your personal prayer lists, every prayer counts. ~e

I survived!!
Well, my 1st week at the new job has come to a close, and thank God--I survived!! I was so tired last night, a very mentally draining week, that is for sure! Not to mention, fb and cheer started back on Monday pm as well...we are all tired! So, last night Rob told me that his sis is engaged! I'm glad for her. R is the youngest of 3--and only boy. You know, not only the only boy, but also the baby boy...y'all know what I mean?(*wink*). I'm glad for her, she is 1 year older than R, and I'm sure she is excited. Here is the kicker---they got engaged like 3 flipping weeks ago, and he told me last night!!! Umm...I have a problem with that! Now I look like a #$%&@ b/c I have not even called her, sent a congrats card, nothing!!! I mean, seriously! So, today I am out to hallmark and in search of the perfect card...among other things I'm sure I "need" once I get there...(my obsession w/ purchasing cards, stationary...:)~e

When will it ever stop?!!

MATH-I am not good at it, therefore I dislike it greatly,I would say hate, but I don't allow the kiddos to say that word, so I will practice what I preach--this time... so, tomorrow am 7:30 sharp, guess what...that's right--a math & medication test--just my luck! So, in spirit of ummm...hating *cough* math & any and all studying in general I decided to make like, a top 5 list of things I'd rather be doing this evening(rather than study!!)
#5)cleaning...I know, my SL 'S' is saying WTH?She knows how much I despise cleaning, but guess what S, I'd rather clean...!
#4)SHOP!!!!yeah baby!!!(and I always need a new coach!) ;)
#3)watch GWTW---my fave movie of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#2)lying on the beach, of course(w/ SPF no doubt)
And not to be out done-----#1)DISNEY!!! I would love to go for a 3 or 4 day weekend w/ Rob, my kids, parents, sisters and their families, and hell, anyone else who wants to go!:) However, due to lack of funds I don't see it happening anytime this summer...it will just give us something to look forward to!:)~e

busy, busy week ahead...
Whooohhh....I am already exhausted! Today was my 1st day of orientation at my NEW JOB!!:) (It went excellent, by the way). And, now this PM we are off to the 1st week of football & cheer leading, hello 2008 season, and good bye life--or whatever it is I have?! Recap of movies yesterday-Rob said that C laughed his head off at Get Smart. C has what me & mom(his Mimi) and infectious laugh-when you hear it, you can't help but laugh either. As for "the girls", our American Girl movie was precious!!That's the best I can think of to even describe it. I was born way before my time, I've said this often. But the movie only solidified this even more so. All the Mommas stayed home, and took care of the families, and wore dresses! That's really what I wish we(mommas of today) still did...*sigh*. Okay, so my son is giving me the look of death(all of you mommas of 11 y/o out there feelin' me?). I will post maybe later tonight, or tomorrow. Ta-ta for now.~e

movie date :)

This afternoon Rob, me, and kiddos in tow are heading to the movies. We are then 'splitting up' and going to see separate movies. The boys will go to a boy/more mature movie. And, well us a girls are going to see a more age/gender appropriate movie. Let's see if y'all can figure out who's gonna see what? ;)~e
Thankful..
shower for Aunt C

Well, yesterday we had our shower for Aunt C, and it went great! As you all know, she has been on BR for the past 3+ weeks, first at the hospital, then sent home to continue BR, where she will remain until our lil' baby B decides to make his grand entrance! The shower was at her house(so she could attend), and it went off without a hitch. Everything turned out truly lovely! Enjoy the pics!~e

our chores..

So, a new 'ritual' has started w/ me and K. First, she has started helping me cook supper, I am thrilled about this! Seriously, when I first married her dad, I knew nothing about the kitchen. I have long ago decided that both she & C will be able to cook(and do laundry). Secondly, K and I now take the garbage down (the long, dirt drive). We do this w/ the wheel barrel and Rocco in tow(of course)! She really loves it, and I have to admit, Rocco is adorable on our way back up the drive! Oh, and if anyone ever wonders why in the world my oldest child, C, is never in the pics, it is b/c we will one day soon have to surgically remove his 'PSP' from his hands, before it becomes 'embedded' into his palms!!!;)~e
I've got a new "gig"!
So, I've now been officially hired at a hospital!!! I am starting the GN program next Monday, and I am excited!! I have been at my current job since August 2001-that's almost 7 years, and a really long time...I'm looking forward to beginning my new career, but I must admit, I will miss some things about my current job (notice I say some, not all ;)...So, Monday at 7:15(yikes), I'll be starting(and officially on the clock)! I need scrubs soon. I can wear business casual on Monday, but was told that Tuesday-Friday I would be more comfy in scrubs...so, I guess K and I will just have to go shopping(wink, wink). My 2 really good friends N & D (see my 30th post, D's surprise party..) gave me gift cert. to a scrub shop, so we shall see what I come across while K and I browse. :) So, anyhow, not much else to post about..that's the newest news here at out home front...More to come later this week, no doubt!~e

my obsession continues...
yep...it's way past the 'dangerous' point, my obsession that is--Coldplay.Yes, it's a bad one...I can't stop it(not that I even want to!). I always get like this...but, it's not a bad 'spell'...just kinda' like a robot...must listen to cd..beep-beep...Even 'C'(my oldest) came in and was like-Mom, enough w/ the Coldplay already-. You know it's bad when you didn't even have the kids til 6PM and they are over it already... :) So, in spirit of my latest obsession, I'll leave you w/ a few lines from one of my two fave songs...
You might be a big fish
In a little pond
Doesn't mean you've won
'Cause along may come
A bigger one
And you'll be lost

Bring the Rain..
I just read a post from a fellow friend, and new blogger,http://birdandthebee.blogspot.com/(tks to me;) ) , and it reminded me of a blog I've been reading for some time now, maybe a few months. Not real sure how I even came across it, but the moment I did I was captivated by it. The story of this family is so beautiful, sad, and uplifting at the same time. Please, take some time(once you start at the beginning of their story, you will see what I mean), and read about them. The author(I guess..),Angie, has an amazing gift of story telling and sharing her love for Jesus! ~e

no title(???)
**I cannot for the life of me think up a title for this post...so it will go 'nameless'.
Well, we ended up going to the movie last night after all. I've told y'all that Rob is a movie goer...We saw Iron Man w/ Robert Downey Jr. http://ironmanmovie.marvel.com/. What a good movie. Not at all my type of movie, but I have to admit it, it was entertaining. He is a great actor, played the part perfectly. So, before that we went to eat(an early dinner), and as we are sitting at the table, my watch falls right off my arm(as it does all the time these past few months), I am very rough on my watches, and after about 2 years, they need to be replaced. So, Rob was like 'what caused that to just happen?' and I explained that this is a common occurrence, and do not be alarmed...so after dinner we had about an hour and 15 min before the movie started, so we drove over to the mall(all w/in 3 mi of dinner, movies, mall) and walked into fossil and I looked at the watches, picked the one out that I liked, and it was a done deal. Robby bought me a new watch! He is really so sweet like that. He loves to spoil me--all the time. :) So, we did dinner, a watch, and a movie.
Today, we took Rocco to Petco for his first outing,in a store that is. He made a friend down the shampoo isle, a little 6 mo. long haired(w/ a hair cut) miniature dachshund! Adorable!!! (y'all know that Rocco is a mini too!!). He really enjoyed the outing, and was exhausted during the ride home. I guess that riding in the shopping buggy(yes, I call it a 'buggy' vs. a 'cart' and Rob just does not get this...), is exhausting to my little shopper! :) I wish I'd had my camera while during our little excursion, but I didn't, maybe next time...~e

boring,boring weekend.
I really can't even comment. Just read my title, and you get the idea. Don't misunderstand, I am not at all complaining...I kinda' am lovin' it!! :) Kids are w/ their father, I am here at home w/ Rocco, just doing laundry, watching movies that I had DVR'd(is that how you even say it? I'm new to all this technology stuff!!). Oh, also, my parents got the new COLDPLAY CD,(my Dad burned me a copy), and as usual I am slipping away into my coldplay trance-IT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I of course, started feeling a 'depression' creeping in last night(partially due to the fact that during my depression in 03' I clung to my coldplay), so I had to turn it off and watch a movie that I'd saved(see above). I watched 'O Brother Where Art Thou', I loved it. It had me laughing out loud at some parts. It is old, I know this, so don't call and remind me of just how out of touch w/ the times I am. I know I am, and I kinda' like me,(being this way), thank you very much. ;) I could not stop thinking of how much George Clooney(main character) looked like my ex-husband in the movie. Now, I think Georgie boy might possibly be one of the sexiest men alive that I've ever seen (on the big screen-never seen him in the flesh)! And, I've been told that my ex-hub(let's abbreviate, shall we?), is good looking. I am sure he is. But, you see, I don't see that part. I see him as my kids Daddy(and sometimes I see RED when I look at him, but please, let's not go there today). So, anyway, I'm getting way, way off track here...So, in short, he looked like ex-hub in movie, and I was amused by it, that's all. So, cute movie, I've now deleted it, cause I don't want to keep it forever, just until I watched it. So, I think Rob will be here in a bit, we might go get something to eat, not much else. No movies out that I really want to see(y'all know how Robby's a big movie goer). I'm wanting to see "Mama Mia" when it comes out in a few weeks(another obsession I have--ABBA, but in a good, happy way)! If anything post worthy pops up this weekend y'all will be the first to read I'm sure.~e
words of wisdom
"Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass". ~Psalms 37:3-5

I've had alot going on..a weekend review:

Well, I've been busy. No excuses, just life really catching up with me over the last week ++. I'm tired of the constant 'rushing' to get from here, to there, to pick up a kiddo here, only to bring the other over there...it never stops. I don't have any exciting news, I'm in a 'same ol, same ol' kinda life cycle right now. Summertime w/ the kids can get somewhat boring for them as well. C has been attending a nature camp through his school summer program, while K has been going to the summer program while he takes a bus from the school, and is brought back to the same location. So, at least I'm dropping off and picking up at the same place this week(which w/ gas prices..every bit helps!!!!).
Over the weekend we had a VERY busy Saturday. A bday party(old friend of mine), and a baby shower (new RN school friend of mine) all in the same day--like w/ in a few hours of each other, about 30+min from each other too. Whew! It was a good day, and K and I(she went w/ me of course) had fun, but, we crashed that night once we finally got home.
On another note, the kids Aunt C has been released from the hospital, and baby B is still cookin' in the oven!(thank you Jesus!!). She is at home on strict BR, but so happy to be back at home(sleeping much better too, I'm sure;) ).
On Sunday, the kids and I decided that a little TLC was needed concerning our yard. So, after church we changed clothes, and headed out into the scorching sun to do our 'chores'. C and I shared the lawn mowing duty(notice,no pics of me) and K's job is to pick up and sticks that might have been in our way. She loves this job!Seriously, she share's this job w/ my dad(Pop), it is their little special bonding "job" that they both enjoy.Really.C actually likes to mow, and so do I. It's good exercise for me, and it 'makes a man' outta' him!:)
So, enjoy the pics from a somewhat normal, uneventful weekend...3 days late.~e
