6 days-but who's counting?

Yep, 6 days to go until I graduate!!!! Wow, I had prayed this day would come for so long now. I am so excited and grateful to all who helped inspire(cough*cough* N), and to all who have encouraged me(everyone) and of course--all who have babysat for me!!! I will be so super busy over the next few days, but I will do my best to keep you up to date. :) e

weekend recap

Not much happened this past weekend at our house. The kiddies were at their Daddy's, so it was just me and Rocco--Rob too of course. Saturday AM Rocco had a grooming appt, so since I was out and about I had to kill time by just making stops at random places...Wal-Mart, Steinmart, Chick-fil-a(hey-I needed breakfast!)...nothing like wondering around Wal-Mart, filling the cart w/ things you never knew you needed until you arrived there! Saturday PM Rob and I went out to eat, then to catch a movie. Those of you that know Rob, you all know he loves his movies. We actually saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It had some funny parts...it was cute overall, not my fave. Sunday we slept in(like 9:30)! This is always hard for me to get up and moving once I've slept past 8:00AM...My friend that I talked w/ shortly after waking up was like, ' why do you sound hung over?' I told her I am somewhat like an old car in cold weather--I need a little bit of time to warm up! :) I did run into http://www.target.com/, had to pick up a few necessity items. I've been needing a nice, small, inexpensive sprinkler for my flower beds. I spend ALOT of time just standing there while watering them. Don't get me wrong, I really do enjoy being out there, but sometimes I just do not have the time, so I had to break down and buy a little handy-dandy sprinkler. I was small, cute, and under $3--so then, it was mine!:) Not much else going on...I'll keep you all posted as the week crawls on...e

Leadership...check!!!

Okay girls-many (most of you) know that I am finishing my final semester for nursing school. Well, yesterday just happened to be my LAST DAY of my leadership(internship)!!!!! YYYYYEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed the experience. My nurse was great-a very strong person and RN. I love a no-nonsense kinda' gal-ya know? :) So- I also have an obsession with "list making". I make a list for just about everything--the checking it off(in my case, I cross it out) is what I love the most! So, I can now, officially cross leadership off my list! YEE-HAW! Only 11 days to go until my pinning--but who's counting. ;) e

where have I been??

okay, well I apologize...I'm back in the swing of things though(no, I didn't go anywhere, I've just been busy w/ life!). I have been busy completing my leadership hrs(a SN thing), busy w/ work(the bills don't just vanish on their own), and w/ the kids(oh yeah, remember them?). So, my really good friend "N" emailed me over the wknd and asked when am I going to post again? So, I told her nothing is really going on to post about...so today I've decided to just post some of my random happenings in my life that I never talk about b/c, well who really cares what we are up to?? But, maybe you still want to know, so here we go:
1. I have recently(since the semester started in Jan) lost 18.5lbs!! Wow! I look at myself and really can't see that a.)it's gone, and b.)how big was I that I cannot imagine my body 18.5lbs heavier!!!(gross).
2. I am still annoyed when people ask what's up w/ me and Rob, as in when are we going to get married..etc...yes, we have been dating for a LONG ASS time(4 1/2 yrs, but who's counting?!), but as of right this moment..we are still dating. No immediate plans of wedding bells, but don't think I haven't thought of everything in the book to speed up the process..it just hasn't happened yet...
3. have I mentioned lately to y'all how much I LOVE my dog? I don't know what I ever did w/o him(not have to sweep every stinkin' day, not have to rush home and let him out every PM, not have to wake up when he licks my face and neck too death at 4:30AM to go out(ewww...I know).I really do love the little guy though!! Esp at PM, when we go to bed(he sleeps w/ me-of course). He is the sweetest,most loving,cuddly,adorable, precious thing! :)
4. okay and time to wrap it up(b/c I still have to shower and then go to bed so I can wake up if Rocco needs to go out at 4:30AM), and my last random thought for this PM before I sign off is---I graduate as an RN in 14 days!!!! I'm just a little excited about it--can't you tell?!! I've been going to school since little K(my youngest) was in diapers. I started out by taking 1 class in the PM after work, and gradually cut back my work hrs, going during the week(while I also worked). It has been THE HARDEST thing I have EVER done...and I cannot wait until I am done!! :)

30!!!!

That's right people---I am 30!!!! And you wanna know something? It feels no different than 23,24,25...and so on. I went out w/ a few girlfriends this past wkend to help celebrate my landmark bday. We had fun, and I don't miss "going out" at all! I'm too old to 'hang' anymore. :)

Festa Italia

This past Sunday Rob and I met his parents, aunt and uncle(they live in Torino, Italy), and a few other family members at the Italian Festival in Ybor. It was fun, and HOT! Good God, I was becoming miserable---I know, I know what you are all thinking, you just cannot imagine lil' ol' ME just being miserable!!lol Rob is 100% ITALIAN!! His mother was born in Bari, Italy. His dad born in Sicily(don't know the name of the village). So yes, Rob is fluent in Italian. In fact, when I go to family gatherings, I am the only white, English speaking guest. I've thought that one day I would love to learn to speak that 'bella' language, but my plate is really too full right now..maybe one day.

Ella

This is my little Ella!...She is daughter to my childhood friend since I was 22 months old!!!(wow)..She and her momma (Jena) were recently visiting-they live in TN...there is a rumor that my little Ella is going to a BIG SISTER!!!!She will turn 1 at the end of June. I have not confirmed this rumor w/ Jena b/c they are on vacation, so Jena, please call me asap!!!Oh, and by the way, I heard the news through the "Roux Street" grapevine---my mom via uncle jim, so you REALLY need to call me and fess up!e
